Robin Oakley

I was a webmaster / senior manager for KPMG for the last 13 years. I am now available to help you get the best from the web.
After all in this climate every penny counts!

I've worked on all aspects of the internet including:
  • website design and build,
  • accessibility,
  • website review,
  • copy checking and polishing,
  • copywriting,
  • search engine optimisation (SEO),
  • photo selection,
  • compliance,
  • user-experience checking,
  • workflow and content management,
  • writing code (HTML and CSS),
  • risk management,
  • briefing staff,
  • briefing agencies, and
  • arranging hosting contracts.
I have always worked hard to be on budget and on time. Being agile and competitive I can offer you a great service. I can quickly deliver a high level of expertise without over-charging, unlike large organisations which are often expensive and slow.

Get in touch and see how I could do it for you.

For six years I was also staff Trustee of the KPMG Foundation whose focus is on education and social projects for the disadvantaged and under privileged. We instigated the Every Child a Reader and Every Child a Chance initiatives and secured government pick up of the programmes, which as a result will now each reach 30,000 children a year. They have a fund of around £10million which I helped administer. Other Trustees include Gerry Acher CBE LVO, Surinder Arora, Sir John Cassels CB, Lisa Harker, Helena Kennedy QC, and John Griffith-Jones, KPMG UK senior partner and KPMG's joint EU Chairman.

At the same time I've been a committee member of the local Sea Cadets and Hemel Hempstead Canoe Club. I was a Give As You Earn champion at KPMG too. Thus I've worked on fund raising and providing grants, as well as creating a few small charitable websites. I've done some volunteer work for the Woodland Trust too.

I have very much enjoyed working in the charitable sector and would relish helping you in this area.

I am trading as part of Julie Oakley Design.
